Hallows’ Eve

I’m so looking forward to my first Hallows’ Eve since returning to Canada. Later today I’m going pumpkin and candy shopping. Should be a cacophony of sight, sound, and smell. So nice to be back. And my personal belongings from France will be delivered next week just before Hallows’ Eve. Love it when a plan comes together.

Already this autumn has been a delight of colours and woody earthy smells, with a good dose of intemperate weather. Was out early raking leaves, even though more were tumbling down in my wake. It looks so beautiful and comforting. Leaves falling like big orange flakes under an overcast sky. Swirls of leaves in the streets as the occasional cars passes. The early Saturday morning quiet before the world decides it wants to roll over and stretch awake.
